NO FIREWORKS AT PUC-ERCOT SUNSET BILL HEARING....
One free market advocate says it goes too far, but consumer groups say it’s a step in the right direction. Texas Coalition for Affordable Power President, Jay Doegey, told members of the House State Affairs Committee Monday that Texas cities wholeheartedly support calls for more oversight over the financial management of ERCOT (Electric Reliability Council of Texas). “We believe the PUC needs to have the tools available to make sure rates remain reasonable,” Doegey said, testifying in favor of House Bill 2134 by State Rep.
