NUMBER OF PLANT FAILURES REACHES 120....

During testimony before state legislators on 15 February, ERCOT CEO reported that 82 power generating plants failed during the blackouts without explaining the list was incomplete.  Today, that number has grown to 120.  The overwhelming majority of the plants were fired by natural gas, but several coal units were also in the mix.  More operators have now waived the law that allows them to keep information regarding outages confidential.
